New Date for Gr 4-8 Track Meet - June 6th

Since the weather did not cooperate for our scheduled track meet on May 25th - we have rescheduled to June 06th.  We had conflicts with EYES presentation on the other scheduled date and have now confirmed June 06th.  Please cross your fingers for nice weather for that day without high winds, rain and clouds.  Canteen will be provided as previously arranged.

Track and Field at ÉEMCS

Once again we are having our annual Track and Field meet at our school on  Thursday, May 25th all day - with an alternate rain date of June 1st.  This event is for students from grade 4 to 8.  The top two participants in each event will represent our school at the multi-school track meet at Douglas Park on Monday, June 12th.  There will be a canteen available run by Ms. Farndern's grade 6/7 class.

We need your help to make this event a success.  If you can volunteer for the day, or part of the day, please contact the school as soon as possible.  A current Police Information Check is required.

Thank you for your support of our students.

Healthy Hunger Special Lunch on May 5th, 2017

We will be having a special lunch using the online system Healthy Hunger on May 5th, 2017 for grades 1 to 8 classes.  Students should have brought home a letter with information on how to register online for your child/children's order(s).  See the attached document for instructions on how to register with Healthy Hunger.  The options for students/staff are individual cheese, pepperoni or ham & pinapple pizzas at $4 each and either apple or orange juice for $1.50 each. This is voluntary and at the discretion of the parents/guardians.

This is our first attempt at an online food order to see if this would be beneficial for our school community.  Our school makes a small profit from the order that is then used to support classroom events/projects.  This particular order will help Mrs. Cherkas' grade 5 class with a June curricular activity they are planning.

Thank you for your support

By now your classroom teachers would have communicated with you regarding our Celebration of Learning taking place on Friday March 10th during the school day.  Buses are not available on this day.  Please stop by your child`s classroom so that they may showcase their learning to you.  They may even make you do some of the tasks they have been doing in class, so get a good night`s sleep!

Please note: Kindergarten students will have no school on Thursday and Friday as this will be their time for Celebration of Learning.

Our bookfair will be open in the resource centre so make sure to stop by and check out the large selection of reading materials available.  Students have been pre-shopping this week and may have some items already in mind.
